Advising
If an appointment is needed, please set up a Zoom advising appointment using https://calendly.com/utgeography-sustainability-advising. A Zoom link will be sent to you with the confirmation of your appointment. You will need to sign into Zoom with an account (free to create) for our advising appointment. Welcome! The Geography advising office is located in RLP 1.216. It is generally open Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm. Undergraduate advising is available (by appointment only) for a variety of issues that includes degree requirements, course availability, academic policies, petitions, major selection, internships and referrals to campus resources.
Registration Advising
Please try to obtain advising before registration occurs. Most times of year advising is available on a walk-in basis, but starting two weeks before registration advising will be on an appointment only basis. Please use Calendly to make an appointment. Advising is available all year and you are welcome to meet during all times of year. You may run your own degree audit online through IDA (Interactive Degree Audit): http://www.utexas.edu/student/registrar/ida/.

Becoming a Major in Geography, Sustainaibilty Studies or Urban Studies
To declare a major in Geography or Sustainability Studies, you must visit the undergraduate advisor. Use Calendly or stop by RLP 1.216 to make an appointment. To declare the major of Urban Studies, please visit their Internal Transfer Admissions webpage for more details.
