Departmental Honors
Departmental Honors students will complete a two-semester honors thesis under the supervision of a faculty member. Students interested in writing an honors thesis should contact the Health & Society advisor, preferably in the first semester of their junior year, in order to discuss plans for the thesis and begin to lay the groundwork for their project. Students must have a UT GPA of 3.0 and 3.5 major GPA in order to apply for honors. Departmental Honors students will complete H S 679HA and H S 679HB in addition to all other major requirements (except for H S 378 Seminar in Health and Society).
