In the College of Liberal Arts, the Student Division within the Office of the Dean is responsible for upholding and enforcing University rules and policies as outlined in the University Catalogs. An overview of the most common policies is available in the Student Division FAQ. In rare instances, the University may permit colleges to grant exceptions to these policies in light of urgent, substantiated, and non-academic events. If you believe your situation may warrant consideration for an exception under these criteria, please review the process below and then meet with a Student Division advisor.

Please note admissions decisions must be appealed to the Office of Admissions and petitions for degree modifications or substitutions must be initiated with the academic advisor in your major.
